Auditions for places in the workshop will be held on 19 & 20 March (Thurs & Fri) from 7pm - 9pm.

You must come prepared with a Shakespearean monologue of 3 minute duration.

6 - 26 April (weekday: 3 hours x 3 days & weekend: 8 hours x 1 day)

This Shakespearean workshop conducted by Jeff Kevin is targeted at theatre practitioners. The workshop aims to provide a platform for each performer to develop his or her own way of playing Shakespearean roles while respecting the rules and techniques that are necessary for performance.

Some of the works that will be explored include Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Macbeth and As You Like It. Designed to extend each participant’s theoretical knowledge and performance abilities, the workshop will culminate in a public showcase put together by the participants.


Jeff Kevin was a fellow of the University of Wollongong in 2004, Head of Music and Drama School at University of Wollongong from 2001 – 2003 and also Acting Associate Dean in 2003. Besides that, Jeff has taught at various other institutions including TAFE and UNSW. His experiences on stage as a performer and off stage as a director are as wide as they are varied. On TV, he is best known for his work in the television series Number 96.
